Responsabilities:
Translating official documents and material for periodicals and publications, general or specialized (education, science, social and human sciences, administration, etc.),
carrying out or requesting necessary referencing.
Competencies:
Very broad general knowledge and general culture. Knowledge of UNESCO's major fields of action and, if possible, specialization in one or more of these fields.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree or equivalent certificate.
Experience:
At least four (4) years experience of translating, preferably in a governmental or international organization. Candidates who do not have any translation experience in a United Nations organization may be required to sit a test.
Languages:
Excellent knowledge of Spanish (mother tongue), of English and of French. Knowledge of another
official language of UNESCO would be an advantage.
