Responsabilities:
Undertake and supervise research and analysis on key competition policy and competitiveness related issues with a view to assisting developing countries to formulate successful development strategies
Competencies:
Demonstrated capacity to deal with advanced analytical tools and methods and their application to legal issues; In-depth knowledge of competition policy, trade and development related issues;

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree in international trade, economics, law or in a related field.
Experience:
At least 10 years of progressively responsible relevant post-graduate experience in development and legal issues. A strong background in analysis in the area of competition, trade and development related issues is an asset.
Languages:
Fluency in oral and written English and French. Knowledge of other UN official languages an advantage, Spanish highly desirable.
Others:
Demonstrated publication record in the technical field of work of the Section. Excellent interpersonal skills. Work experience in and in-depth knowledge of policies, procedures and operations of organizations dealing with trade and development.
