Responsabilities:
Provide general supervison of the Sector's day-to-day financial/budgetary operations, in accordance with UNESCO's
Financial Regulations, Rules, Policies and Procedures: as the Sector's Chief Certifying Officer
Competencies:
Understanding education issues in general and knowledge of UNESCO's planning and financial/budgetary process
are assets.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree in financial management and business administration. A professional accountancy
qualification (Chartered, Certified, etc.) from a recognized body would be an advantage.
Experience:
At least ten years of progressive experience at national and international levels in the field of financial management,
business/budgetary administration.
Languages:
Excellent knowledge of English or French and good knowledge of the other language. Knowledge of other UNESCO
official languages would be an asset.
