Responsabilities:
Responsible for monitoring implementation in the Caribbean of the Plan of Action of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) undertaking research and analysis to inform sub-regional policy decisions
Competencies:
Ability to assess client groups’ information needs and be innovative in the design and delivery of appropriate targeted solutions. Ability to carry out research and prepare analytical reports or to oversee research.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Library Science, Information Science or related field.
Experience:
A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible relevant post-graduate experience in library or information management. Research experience in information and communication technology as evidenced by relevant publications.
Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of Spanish required. Working knowledge of French, would be an asset.
