Responsabilities:
Providing support and advice to the Co-Investigating Judges as regards the investigative work of the office and ensuring the carrying out of their instructions;
Competencies:
In-depth knowledge and understanding of theories, concepts and approaches relevant to criminal investigations; Demonstrated ability to investigate and analyze complex political, military or criminal activities;

Qualifications:
Education:
University degree in public administration, political science, law or criminal justice or equivalent diploma in criminal investigation from a recognized police academy or national law-enforcement agency.
Experience:
A minimum of 9 years relevant professional experience, out of which at least five years as an investigator in a war crime tribunal.
Languages:
The official working languages of the Extraordinary Chambers are Khmer, English and French. For this post, fluency in English and/or French is essential. Knowledge of Khmer is desirable.
Others:
Good knowledge of the recent history of, and conditions prevailing in Cambodia, with the ability to appraise and evaluate the implications of political, cultural and historical variables in the country.
