Responsabilities:
To provide advice and support the formulation and implementation of Phase 2 of 'National Plan on Safe Motherhood in Viet Nam 2003-2010'.
Competencies:
Broad knowledge and skills in management and operation of maternal, child and adolescent reproductive health services including family planning and in promoting national capabilities.

Qualifications:
Education:
University degree in medicine with post-graduate degree or training in the field of public health or other health sciences. Advanced degree with clinical skills in reproductive health or child health care services an advantage.
Experience:
11-15 years of experience at national and international public health in reproductive, maternal, and child health care, including newborn care (work in obstetrics and perinatology in health facilities) and extensive clinical practice.
Languages:
Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English; knowledge of French an advantage. Knowledge of Vietnamese language is an advantage.
