Responsabilities:
Revises in extenso verbatim records of meetings. Ensures consistency of terminology and checks for uniformity and continuity of records. Provides Verbatim Reporters with advice and guidance.

High level of concentration; good judgement and discretion; ability to work under continuous pressure and stress; ability to assimilate exceedingly broad range of subjects; flexibility and adaptability; firm grasp of research techniques.

Qualifications:
Education:
A first level degree from a university or from an institution of equivalent status is required. Must have passed the United Nations Competitive Examination for the Recruitment of English Verbatim Reporters.
Experience:
At least five years of progressively responsible verbatim record writing in the United Nations.
Languages:
A perfect command of English, which must be the candidate's first language; excellent knowledge of two other United Nations official languages are required, one of which must be French.
Others:
Good skills in word processing technology are required. Readiness to adapt to non-standard equipment and peripherals is desirable. Punctuality/presence highly desirable.
