Formulates and implements the substantive work programme under her/his supervision, oversees the management of activities undertaken by the Nairobi office;
Competencies:
Knowledge in the investigations field in general, with emphasis on SEA investigations; proven ability to conduct and supervise complex investigations, to produce reports and papers on investigations issues and to review and edit the work of others

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced University Degree (Master's Degree or equivalent) preferably in law. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience:
A minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in investigatory work including criminal and administrative investigations, with at least 7 years of this experience at the managerial level and 5 years in an international setting.
Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the Secretariat. For this post, fluency in oral and written English is required. Fluency in French is an advantage and knowledge of other official United Nations languages is desirable.
Others:
Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of software applications relevant to investigations is desirable.
