Responsabilities:
The incumbent will supervise the work of general service and professional staff, leads and manages a team responsible for the strategic development and implementation of the digital archives management and preservation programme for the Secretariat.
Competencies:
Highly developed conceptual, analytical and innovative problem-solving ability; demonstrated ability to handle complex business process and information integration issues. Sound understanding of international legislation and best practice on management.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree (Master's Degree or equivalent) in information science, records management, archives management, information systems management, information systems management or related field.
Experience:
At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in archives, records management or information management, with a focus on digital asset archives, records management and electronic recordkeeping systems.
Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in written and spoken English is required; knowledge of additional official UN languages is an advantage.
Others:
Comprehensive knowledge of the Organization's information management/information technology and related information systems, policies, procedures and practices is desirable.
