Responsabilities:
Under the general supervision of the Chief, Knowledge Solutions and Design, the incumbent plans, coordinates and supervises graphic and web design-related work; elaborates a design policy and standards for the Secretariat's publications.
Competencies:
Professionalism - Demonstrates professional competence and mastery of subject matter; is conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines and achieving results.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in graphic design, graphic arts, fine arts, information sciences or related fields.
Experience:
At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in graphic design, project management, art direction, printed media administration, or related area, including at the international level is required.
Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable.
Others:
Good knowledge of design software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop is required. Knowledge of design for web is required.
