Responsabilities:
Manage, supervise and coordinate the work carried out by the Unit. Provide advice to the Director on conceptual strategy development and management of the implementation of overall strategies and intra and inter-divisional/departmental policies.
Competencies:
Professionalism: In-depth knowledge and specialization in substantive and functional areas; very good research, analytical and problem-solving skills, proven ability to produce reports and papers on technical issues.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced University degree in business administration, management, economics, public administration or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience in any of the above areas.
Experience:
At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in, including 3 years at the international level, in government or private sector positions in related areas. Work experience within the United Nations system highly desirable.
Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required, with excellent drafting skills. Knowledge of other official United Nations languages is an asset.
Others:
Comprehensive knowledge of UN policies, rules and regulations, administrative and programmatic procedures.
