Responsabilities:
Researches, reviews, assesses and compiles relevant information on country human rights situations received, processed, prepared and issued by special procedures.
Competencies:
Professionalism Outstanding analytical and research skills, including ability to evaluate and integrate information from a variety of sources and to assess their relevance in the preparation of major U.N. reports.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) preferably in law, international relations or other discipline related to human rights. A combination of relevant academic qualifications and extensive experience may be accepted.
Experience:
A minimum of seven years’ relevant experience at the international level, including of the international human rights machinery and treaties.
Languages:
Fluency in oral and written English or French, with excellent drafting ability and good working knowledge of the other; fluency in Spanish would be highly desirable.
