Responsabilities:
Undertake empirical research and analysis of trends, socio-economic issues, developments and policy issues relevant to the Departmental mandate, projects and initiatives at the global, regional and national levels.
Competencies:
Knowledge and practical application of theories and concepts related to social and economic development and social policy. Excellent knowledge of results based management and the logical framework approach.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree (or equivalent) in development economics, public policy, political science, political economy, international relations, international law, public administration, or related fields.
Experience:
Experience in the provision of technical cooperation is required, and field experience is highly desirable. Experience in developing and executing a programme throughout its life cycle.
Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written English. Working knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) would be an asset.
Others:
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible post-graduate experience in socio-economic development, policy analysis, sociological/economic research as demonstrated by a number of relevant publications.
