Responsabilities:
Directing, monitoring and evaluating WHO collaborative programmes falling under NMH; assisting the member countries of the Region in development of new policies, facilitating and guiding the programme areas of noncommunicable diseases.
Competencies:
Thorough knowledge of principles, strategies and methods and technologies in health promotion in relation to the above areas of assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications:
Education:
Degree in medicine and postgraduate degree in public health or social sciences.
Desirable: Specialization in epidemiology at postgraduate level would be an advantage.
Experience:
Extensive experience in public health administration at senior level in manageiral, administrative and advisory functions at national level; considerable experience at international level in managing multidisciplinary teams.
Languages:
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
Desirable: Knowledge of other WHO official languages would be an asset.
