Responsabilities:
Human Resource Management: Initiates and coordinates actions covering the entire span of human resource activities, e.g., recruitment, placement, performance appraisal, vacancies, job classification reviews, separation of staff members, training, etc.
Competencies:
Professionalism: Knowledge of UN policies and procedures governing recruitment and staffing for both civilian and seconded military personnel. Knowledge of budget process. Ability to apply various United Nations administrative rules.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business or public administration, finance, accounting, law, humanities, human resources or related area.
Experience:
A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, financial management and/or general administration or related field. Experience in coordinating human resource activities within the UN desirable.
Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
Others:
Working knowledge of Galaxy and IMIS is desirable.
