Responsabilities:
Take the responsibility for supervising the work and managing the staff of the ECA Geneva Interregional Advisory Services Office.

Professionalism: Proven expertise in international trade analysis and negotiations; Demonstrated ability to identify issues, formulate options with a focus on issues related to globalization and international trade.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in international economics, development economics or relevant fields is required. PhD in Economics highly desirable.
Experience:
A least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in international economics, economic development, preferably in developing country, as well as trade analysis and negotiations, gained through involvement in policy formulation.
Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in spoken and written English or French required; Working knowledge of the other highly desirable.
Others:
Knowledge and understanding of theories, concepts and approaches relevant to the international economics and trade negotiations.
