Review contested administrative decisions; Obtain comments and other information from management on the contested decisions; Conduct extensive legal research, provide detailed analysis of assigned matters.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced University Degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in law, with an emphasis on Administrative or International Law. A first level university degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience may be accepted.
Experience:
At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in law, preferably administrative law, is required. Experience in the application of United Nations regulations and rules, policies and procedure is required.
Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in oral and written English is required. Ability to work in French is desirable. Knowledge of another official language of the UN is an advantage.
