Job offer description: City: New York Country: UNITED STATES Responsabilities: evelop, implement and evaluate assigned programmes/projects related to the work of the NGO Section; review and process applications received from non-governmental organizations seeking consultative status with the Economic and Social Council Competencies: Professionalism: Knowledge of the involvement of non-governmental organizations in the work of the United Nations, including the ECOSOC; ability to analyze issues in the economic, social and environmental areas.

Qualifications: Education: Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in political science, economics, in one of the social sciences or a related field. Experience: A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in international relations, social and economic development, public administration or related area. Experience with NGOs is required. Languages: The working languages of the UN Secretariat are English or French. Fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
