Responsabilities:
The Public Information Officer will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of information campaigns to publicize UN priority issues and/or major events.
Competencies:
Professionalism: Good research and analytical skills and ability to rapidly analyse and integrate diverse information from various sources; up-to-date knowledge of current topics and issues and ability to identify communications opportunities.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in communication, journalism, public relations or related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted.
Experience:
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in public information, journalism, communications, or public relations at the national level required. International experience.
Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations. For this post, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another UN working language would be an asset.
Others:
Proficiency in the use of office applications, e.g. word processing, Internet etc. required.
