Job offer description: City: Managua Country: NICARAGUA Responsabilities: Provide operational support in the preparation and implementation of the Bank’s investment operations in SD; ensuring the quality of portfolio performance though regular supervision and monitoring of, and timely assistance to, the implementing agencies. Competencies: Deep understanding of rural development, water supply, rural infrastructure, natural resource management and the environment and the ability to obtain and disseminate international best practice in these areas

Qualifications: Education: Advanced degree in economics or SD related social sciences (agriculture, environment, international relations, public policy, water, logistics) Experience: A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience. Experience in the design and implementation of Bank projects is highly desirable Languages: Strong verbal and written communications skills (in both Spanish and English) and the ability to facilitate dialogue and build consensus are essential Others: Strong client orientation and responsiveness and ability to work effectively with Bank staff from different sector specialties and cultural backgrounds
