Responsabilities:

To provide technical expertise and to advance the work on the design of methodologies for the selection of options concerning the organization of health financing systems.

Competencies:

Up-to-date knowledge of established and innovate approaches to health financing in a variety of settings, in particular in relationship with overall health systems development and detailed understanding of the interplay between institutions.

Qualifications:

Education:

Doctoral degree in health economics or social sciences. Extensive knowledge also at the academic level of health systems analysis would be an advantage.

Experience:

Eight to ten years' national experience of which at least five years at the international level. Experience of international agencies, especially of WHO, and experience of working with personnel and systems in developing countries would be an asset.

Languages

Excellent knowledge of English with a working knowledge of French.
