Responsabilities:
Develop methodologies for the review and monitoring of financial management systems, particularly those relating to internal controls and delegation of authority.
Competencies:
Professionalism: Demonstrates professional competence in the relevant substantive, policy and procedural aspects of the job of Financial Management Officer. Knowledge of UN Financial Regulations and Rules.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree (Masters degree or equivalent), preferably in administration, business, finance or related field. A first level university degree combined with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience:
A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience and demonstrated performance in administration, business or finance is required. Experience in financial management and analysis is desirable.
Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in English (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage.
