Responsabilities:

Provide support in the coordination, management and delivery of ROA Programme: Provide support in coordinating, monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of programmes and projects in the region.

Competencies:

Professionalism: Knowledge and understanding of sustainable development and emerging issues and initiative in Africa. Practical experience in programme/project management and administration.

Qualifications:

Education:

Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, economics, environmental studies or related area.

Experience:

At least three years of working experience in the field of sustainable development in environmental programme management. Experience in the field of UNEP policy, activities and programme is an asset.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of other United Nations languages an asset.

Others:

Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, internet) are required.
