Job offer description:City: GenevaCountry: SWITZERLAND Responsabilities:Provide technical support for meetings of the COP and its subsidiary bodies, including drafting technical documents, verifying that information submitted by Parties meet the information requirements of the ConventionCompetencies:Professionalism: Knowledge and understanding of global chemicals agenda, knowledge and understanding of issues in supporting Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs). |
Qualifications:Education:Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in environmental sciences, toxicology, biochemistry or environmental chemistry.Experience:A minimum of five years of experience in project/programme management, administration, some of which should be at the international level. Experience in Legal analysis, research and scientific writing desirable.LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of other United Nations languages an asset.Others:A basic knowledge of relevant institutional mandates, policies and guidelines is an advantage and good knowledge of the functioning of the institutions of the United Nations system is desirable. |
