Responsabilities:
Supervisory functions: Oversees the programming of the Pre-Press Unit; distributes assignments, ensuring efficient and effective processing of documentation and an equitable distribution of work in coordination with the Documents Control Unit.
Competencies:
Professionalism: Knowledge of ECLAC structure and rules of procedure of the UN System. Knowledge of all aspects of the work of the Unit, including typographic standards. Ability to enhance the skills and monitor the performance of staff within the Unit.

Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. University studies in languages or graphical design are desirable. Training in a relevant field, such as translation, computer science or graphic design is required.
Experience:
At least seven years of relevant work experience in the production of publications and documents (draft typing, copy editing, proof-reading and typographical layout) are required. Experience in the use of state-of-the-art pre-press software is required.
Languages:
Advanced knowledge of Spanish and English is required. Knowledge of the second language (English/Spanish) will be tested, unless it can be supported by a certificate of a recognized institution. Knowledge of French and Portuguese is highly desirable.
Others:
Knowledge of computer technology applied in the workflow for the preparation of documents, both in electronic and in printed form is required. Experience in the use of Internet and in the design of web pages is desirable.
