Responsabilities:
Undertakes analytical research activities on decentralized regional development: updates bibliographical references concerning local and regional development, to be used in the courses organized by the Local and Regional Development Area.
Competencies:
Professionalism: Knowledge of theory of urban and regional economics, of regional economic analysis techniques, and of the construction and management of development indicators applied to sub-national territories.

Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. University studies/course training in areas such as economics, engineering or social sciences are desirable. Post-graduate studies in regional development would be an asset.
Experience:
At least seven years of experience on research related work in regional development, either in the public or private sector. Relevant teaching experience (universities, schools, etc.) in regional development is desirable.
Languages:
Advanced knowledge of Spanish and intermediate knowledge of English are required. Knowledge of the second language (English or Spanish) will be tested, unless it can be supported by a certificate of a recognized institution.
Others:
Advanced knowledge of Excel and Access is required. Knowledge of SPSS and/or Arc View or similar software would be an asset.
