Job offer description:City: NairobiCountry: KENYA Responsabilities:Technical and Substantive Support: Research, analyze and present information relevant for advocacy and reporting activities of the Branch; provide support on the advocacy and monitoring activities related to the Medium Term Strategic.Competencies:Professionalism: Demonstrated up-to-date working knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative methods of monitoring and assessment; ability to analyze and synthesize data and information and to draft substantive articles and documents. |
Qualifications:Education:Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Urban or Regional Planning, Social Science, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Law or related field, with a focus on methods for policy analysis.Experience:A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience, preferably in a research environment in urban policy development, institutional analysis, policy analysis and poverty related issues.LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the advertised post, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of French and/or Spanish will be an advantage. |
