Job offer description:City: New YorkCountry: USA Responsabilities:Revises in extenso verbatim records of meetings. Ensures consistency of terminology and checks for uniformity and continuity of records. Provides Verbatim Reporters with advice and guidance.Competencies:Professionalism: Ability to demonstrate good writing skills, high standard of accuracy, consistency and faithfulness to the spirit, style and nuances of the original text with a good grasp of the subject matter. |
Qualifications:Education:A first level degree from a university or from an institution of equivalent status is required. Must have passed the United Nations Competitive Examination for the Recruitment of Russian Verbatim Reporters.Experience:A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in verbatim record writing in the United Nations.LanguagesRussian Verbatim reporters must have a perfect command of Russian, which must be their main language, and an excellent knowledge of two other official United Nations languages, one of which must be English.Others:Good skills in word processing technology are required. Readiness to adapt to non-standard equipment and peripherals is desirable. Punctuality/presence highly desirable. Willingness to respond on short notice is highly desirable. |
