Responsabilities:
To explore and document the current situation of risk-pooling health insurance entitlement and coverage for mothers and children in Africa and Asia, as well as the options for and constraints against increasing coverage
Competencies:
Knowledge of and experience with the creation and development of health insurance systems, including those in the social sector. Capacity to participate in consultative activities and experience in dealing with senior Government.

Qualifications:
Education:
Postgraduate university degree in health policy and\or financing, social policy or protection or equivalent professional qualifications in insurance.
Experience:
At least 15 years of relevant professional experience, of which at least 5 years should be in low and/or in middle-income countries, preferably in Africa and/or Asia.
Languages:
Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of other UN languages, particularly French, is desirable.
