Job offer description:City: ArushaCountry: TANZANIA Responsabilities:Service up to seven Court sessions/meetings per week (exceptionally eight), usually of no more than three hours duration, of various ICTR Chambers/United Nations bodies.Competencies:Professionalism: High level of concentration; split-second accuracy; clear delivery; ability to work under continuous stress and to assimilate an exceedingly broad range of subjects. Communication: Good interpersonal and communication skills. |
Qualifications:Education:University Degree in relevant modern language or law and an Interpretation Degree, Certificate, or Diploma from a recognized Interpretation Training School; must have passed the official ICTR competitive Examination For English to French.Experience:A minimum of five years of work experience in an international organization is required.LanguagesEnglish and French are the working language of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR). For the post advertised, a perfect command of French and an excellent knowledge of English are required.Others:Proven ability to interpret from or into other UN official languages will be an asset. A broad cultural background and a good written style. |
