Job offer description:City: BeirutCountry: LEBANON Responsabilities:To Coordinate, and contribute to ESCWA’s efforts to respond properly to the various requests related to MDGs. •To strengthen the capacity of ESCWA’s member countries for more effective MDG based policies making, programming.Competencies:Professionalism: Advanced knowledge of MDGs related issued and programme implementation processes at the United Nations. Familiarity with the substantive mandate of ESCWA. |
Qualifications:Education:Advanced University Degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in development studies, social sciences, statistics or related fields. A first level university degree with a combination of relevant academic qualifications and experience in the areas mentioned.Experience:At least ten years of progressively responsible experience in the field of evidence based support for social development, MDGs, Poverty. Experience in the issues of MDGs and poverty measurement preferably in the ESCWA Region.LanguagesEnglish and French are the two working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in written and verbal English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is highly desirable.Others:Good computer skills, including proficiency in computer applications relevant to the field of specialization. |
