Job offer description:City: New YorkCountry: USA Responsabilities:Initiate and coordinate actions covering the entire span of human resources activities, e.g. recruitment, placement, promotion, extension of appointment, performance appraisal, vacancies, job classification reviews, separation of staff members, etc.Competencies:Professionalism: Demonstrated in-depth technical knowledge of human resources management; proven analytical skills; knowledge of United Nations human resources policies, regulations and rules. |
Qualifications:Education:Advanced University degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in human resources management, public administration, or other related field. A first level university degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications may be accepted.Experience:A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management, administration or related area is required. Several years of experience in UN recruitment policies, practices and processes is required.LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the UN Secretariat. For this post, fluency in written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage.Others:Proficiency in knowledge of Galaxy and IMIS is required. |
