Job offer description:City: GenevaCountry: SWITZERLAND Responsabilities:Provide effective leadership and strategic direction for implementing OHCHR’s Strategic Framework and Management Plan in the area of the right to development and the integration of human rights in the area of development and related aspects.Competencies:Professionalism: Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of and exposure to a range of issues related to human rights, development and international affairs; excellent knowledge of international human rights instruments and institutional mandates. |
Qualifications:Education:Advanced University Degree (Masters or equivalent), preferably in law, international relations or other disciplines related to human rights. A combination of relevant academic qualifications and experience may be accepted.Experience:At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience, at international or national levels, in human rights and related field, including in the field of right to development and related research and analysis.LanguagesFluency in English or French, working knowledge of the other highly desirable. Knowledge of an additional UN language is an asset. |
