Responsabilities:

Define the strategic direction of the Department's small enterprise programme and its contribution to the Strategic Framework for Sustainable Enterprise and ensure that it is a recognized centre of excellence in its field...

Competencies:

Demonstrated and recognized technical and /or managerial leadership in achieving objectives and in implementing policies related to the work unit; demonstrated technical expertise to devise new methods...

Qualifications:

Education:

Advanced university degree with demonstrated expertise in business, economics or related discipline with specialization in issues pertaining to small enterprise development in developing countries...

Experience:

Ten to fifteen years' experience of which at least seven years at the international level in the area of formulation, implementation and monitoring of policies, programmes and projects in the field of job creation and enterprise development.

Languages

Excellent command of one working language of the Organization and a working knowledge of a second working language. Knowledge of a third working language would be an advantage.
