Political Affairs is the field of work for a political scientist. Political affairs can include works of investigation and analysis. A political scientist is qualified to take any technical or political position inside a company, an organization or a public administration job. He is also qualified to work as public relations professional and as a consultant.

As investigators, political scientists make academic works; they search for any new accomplishments on politics and contrast them to reality. They usually face a lot of criticism from public opinion and/or other political scientists. That's why a political scientist must have a strong character, and he also has to know how to deal with criticism. As a consultant in public administration, a political scientist has the responsibility to search data constantly to analyze and report topics that may be of public interest. He/she also has to be involved in the periods of planning and execution of the projects that he has helped to develop.
