Today the majority of companies have public relations specialists, public information officers (PIOs) or press secretaries in their public relation department. These professionals are in charge of communication between private companies or state-owned organizations and citizens. Moreover it is expected that employment rate increase by 24 between 2008 and 2018. Salary scale usually varies widely according to years of experience, location and company. The top paying industries are mining and scientific services, because these sectors generate many labor opportunities and pay higher salaries.
