Work Permits

Working in Vietnam without a work permit is against the law. Getting a work permit is not as difficult as everybody thinks; on the contrary, it only takes 15 working days. On the other hand, Vietnam employers who hire foreign workers without a work permit are ordered to pay fines that range from 5.000.000 VND to 10.000.000 VND.

The following list contains required documents to ask for a work permit in Vietnam:
- Application form of work permit.
- Criminal record issued by competent authorities.
- Photocopy of academic credentials.
- Medical certificate issued by a hospital.
- Resume with a passport photo.
- Three color photos (3cm x 4cm.)
